{"id":97,"date":"2008-08-17T12:43:06","date_gmt":"2008-08-17T19:43:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/melanarrative.com\/?p=97"},"modified":"2008-08-17T12:43:06","modified_gmt":"2008-08-17T19:43:06","slug":"ct-scan-pix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/melanarrative.com\/?p=97","title":{"rendered":"CT scan pix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I had to have my second CT scan on Friday.\u00c2\u00a0 I get CT scans every 3 months, and MRIs of my brain every 6 months.\u00c2\u00a0 I have do the CT scan &#8220;with contrast&#8221; which means I have to drink this nasty glue-like &#8220;smoothie&#8221; that tastes awful, and feels pretty bad.\u00c2\u00a0 Totally blows out my G.I. system.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/melanarrative.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/cat-smoothie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-98\" title=\"cat-smoothie\" src=\"https:\/\/melanarrative.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/cat-smoothie.jpg\" alt=\"Cat Scan Smoothie\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/melanarrative.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/cat-smoothie.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/melanarrative.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/cat-smoothie-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The tech who does the CT scans has given me two of the best IVs.\u00c2\u00a0 The first time, I didn&#8217;t even feel it.\u00c2\u00a0 This time, I barely felt it.\u00c2\u00a0 He cuts off the finger of his glove so he can feel the vein better.\u00c2\u00a0 The first time he did it in a really dramatic\/showy way, putting the glove in his mouth, and biting down on it, stretching it out, and snipping it.
