Half Way Point

I reached the half way point in my self-injections. 24 weeks done, 24 weeks to go. 72 injections.

I decided I want to go get the most expensive box of 24 chocolates I can find, and eat one every week for the next 24 weeks. Then (ever the pragmatist) I decided they might get stale, so I will get them in two rounds of 12. What is the most indulgent? Jacques Torres?

It has actually taken me nearly 10 days to get adjusted to the idea that I halfway, and that I have more of this behind me, than in front of me. It was really hard to feel that intuitively for a while. Now I feel it, and it feels good.

Of course, though, the last month, and the next two months are supposed to be the hardest ones. I can attest to how hard the last 10 days have been.

  1. my favorite and I think best (also very $$) is La Maison Du Chocolat. i think they just opened a boutique on Madison Ave otherwise you can mail order them from Paris.

If you get them let me know, I heart their truffles.

  2. $250 for one truffle is wrong. Just plain wrong. I’ll look up La Maison. In the meantime, maybe I’ll have a spoonful of chocolate ice cream.

  3. dude- no ice cream. seriously, I will send you some chocolate- just ping me your address. 🙂

  4. Oh, you misread me. I will get the fancy just not *that* fancy. But I never refuse chocolate so if you want to send something send it to the studio. You back in town? Or at least in one place?

  5. its a deal- what kind do you like?

Im out of town still- not even in one place yet. so tired.

life is really crazy this year. . I’d write you an email about it all but I keep hoping to make it back to the city somehow this week- or next- or the week after.

    (hugs)

  6. i like dark chocolate. i find that things that are too sweet (like raspberry) hurt more. but hold off until you see my jewel box of chocolates i bought for the next 12 weeks. of course, i would never refuse chocolates!
